Hinman-Loveland Publications is a rebirth of Loveland Productions, a company formed in the 1970s to support T.R. Playworth’s film and video production work. After retiring in 2022, T.R. joined the Brevard Readers Theater (BRT) troupe and began writing original (No AI) short plays for the actors to perform.  By the Fall of 2025, he had written over 32 short plays, mostly comedies geared to high school theater classes, readers theater groups and intergenerational acting groups.

  Note that the book titles may imply that the short plays are solely about mountain folks but that is not true.  The stories are universal in nature and one will see the quirks of people from everywhere in the characters presented.  The settings include major cities, the suburbs and rural areas.  Most of the stories should resonate, especially with boomers.

  Hinman-Loveland Publications was formed for the purpose of promoting these two books and future volumes on Amazon.com, and in bookstores, libraries and other retail outlets.

  T.R. enjoys acting and playwriting, playing disc golf with eight other retirees, and spending time with his wife and close friends.
